Help Set Up New Affordable Housing Apartments - Van Nuys
YOUR ACTIVITY: Help set up rooms in a 90 unit permanent supportive housing site for people transitioning out of homelessness. Working in teams, you'll put sheets on beds, put dishes away, hang welcome home signs, and make the rooms feel like home for their new tenants.
YOUR IMPACT: People transitioning out of homelessness often leave a lot behind when they move into stable housing - such as their community and the living situation they had grown accustomed to.With your help, they won't be moving into an empty room. They'll be moving into a comfortable place that quickly feels like their new home.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be over the age of 18.
- Wear comfortable shoes and clothes.
- Please note lunch and refreshments will be provided.
